CQC Raptor II CBRN Suit
One of the replacements for the No1 Mk.IV NBC suit, CQC's "Raptor II" CBRN suit is one of the latest addition to the ADF's CBRN defence arsenal - along with the OPEC Kestrel. The Raptor II appears less frequently compared the OPEC Kestrel in ADF CBRN exercises.
Lightweight and versatile, the 2-piece suit consisting of a smock and trousers is made out of fire & water/oil retardant Rip-Stop polyester with an activated carbon suit liner.
These suits have been issued in both the obsolete Auscam/DPC (Disruptive Camouflage Pattern) and the he current issue AMC (Australian Multi-Cam) pattern.
The suit would be paired with the Airboss manufactured gloves and overboots, along with their Low Burden Mask (LBM), or in instances where an LBM is not available, an S10/ADF-10 will be used.
The easiest way to identify a Raptor II suit over other CBRN suits is the large horizontal strip of black fabric over the knee area.
